About your tour leader - Wendy Williams

Tour leader Wendy Williams has been quilting for about 30 years and designing and teaching for 15 years. She has a pattern business and website where she sells both retail and wholesale to individuals and shops throughout the world. She has a degree in adult education and before teaching quilting she was a Fashion Teacher and designer working in the Fashion industry for 15 years. In 2015 Wendy had her first book, ‘Wild Blooms and Colourful Creatures’ published by C&T in the USA. This book is still on the best seller list.
Wendy currently teaches regularly in Sydney and conducts workshops all around Australia and internationally. She combines teaching and travelling having taught on cruise ships and accompanying likeminded people on international holidays. Wendy is best known for her work with wool applique. She uses wool felt to create colourful quilts featuring fun motifs such as flowers, animals and houses. Her work combines the use of embroidery and traditional patchwork to create contemporary quilts.
