Join Marian Howell on a trip of a lifetime to explore some amazing traditional and contemporary Japanese ceramic techniques in Mashiko, and truly inspirational museums in Kanazawa, Naoshima Art Island and Shigaraki! With 350 potteries and 52 ceramic shops to explore in Mashiko as well as attending our workshop with 6 morning demonstrations and free time to practice what you have learnt in the afternoons or go wandering in the galleries close by, we will be in ceramic heaven. Mashiko is predominantly a throwing area however demonstrators will combine hand building with throwing, and highlight these techniques from different perspectives.
